When working within Google Chrome and downloading PDF’s or other files they may not appear anywhere or they may get blocked due to settings within Chrome.
As per screen shot above (which is 1 type of error) you can see a download icon which is a block icon.
There are a few settings within Chrome that you can set/change if you are experiencing issues of this type.
Above is an example of a download getting blocked by browser.
Within Chrome click on the 3 vertical dots top right hand of page and click on ‘Settings”.
First step is check you have latest version of Chrome, by clicking on ‘Settings’ then ‘About Chrome’.
This will auto update if it's on an older version, then close and reopen Chrome browser.
Other steps to take if still experiencing issues.
You can either click on the left hand side of page and click on ‘Advanced’ or scroll down and click ‘Advanced’.
Click on ‘Privacy and Security’, then click on ‘Site Settings’, find ‘Pop-ups and redirects'.
The highlighted areas will more than likely be the main areas of navigation if the first step fails.
Click on the button which will Allow pop ups through, you can also manually Add sites to Allow or Block if you wish, simply click on Add button and as an example add.
Click on 'Automatic Downloads'
You can click on this button to make Chrome download the file instead of opening it within Chrome.
You can change the actual location of saving PDF downloads too by following the above.
