Interactive Filtering of Report Data

Every report available in the Customer Portal has the ability to interactively filter information depending on the visuals that are selected. Not every visual will trigger a filter, and not every visual will filter when others are triggered.

Information about visuals on specific reports can be found in the Reports category of this Help Centre.

Drop-down menus also have a search functionality. Simply type in the search field at the top of the menu, and as you type the results will filter.

Multiple selections are also available for multiple live searches. Just hold the CTRL (Windows) or Command (Mac OS) key for each returned search result.

Button Filters

Some reports have handy buttons on the left, next to date filters and drop-down menus.

The user can easily cycle the options by single clicking, but multiple selections on buttons are also available, holding down the CTRL (Windows) or Command (Mac OS) key.

To disable Button Filters, simply click the Clear Selection button, or single click all enabled options.

Date Filters

Date filters are relatively straight-forward. Results are filtered depending on what the user has chosen. There are 3 inputs available.

It is important to read the header above the Date Filter to ensure the user understands what is being filtered. For more information on what Date Filters are specifically doing, head over to the Reports page in the Help Centre.

No matter what has been selected (e.g. Last 500,000 Days), the handy date calculator underneath will display the exact time frame in Day/Month/Year format.

Clear Selections

Sometimes the user may have selected multiple items, or a single item on a very long list, and clearing those selections manually can be a time consuming and frustrating task. Luckily, many filters have a Clear Selection button, represented by an eraser icon. Click the Clear Selection button next to the specific filter to clear any selections that are active.

Please note, some filters are active by default when opening the report, and clearing selections don't revert filters back to default, it simply clears all selections. If the user wishes to return the report back to the default, simply refresh the browser window.
